The Late Review | Talib Kweli - Eardrum

I ordered my ticket for Talib Kweli’s show today as well and I can’t wait to stomp to the indig02 on the 31st Jan to see him perform. His last album Eardrum is great stuff if I do say so myself. I mean it debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 in 2007 when it was released, so I’m sure that statistic counts for something. I love Kweli’s flow. His lyrical genius is weaved so majestically around tracks such as Say Something, featuring the magnificent Jean Grae, (my first ever encounter with her – absolutely amazing) and others such as Eat to Live, Oh My Stars featuring Musiq Soulchild, as well as the lead single Listen!!! – and believe you me, this album really does make you do that. And although it’s a late review from me, Eardrum is definitely worth the listen and definitely worth the buy.

I can't wait. It's gonna be great stuff mate. Check the track list for the album below.

Vogue Verdict | February 2010

This month’s Vogue UK is totally killing it. I mean seriously. I'll probably say that about every single issue of Vogue that comes out, but honestly. This is a sincere statement guys. K-I-L-L-I-N-G-I-T. It's virtually homicidal. Now, being a girl of my disposition (and funds), automatically means that I turn to the ‘More Dash Than Cash’ feature of this glorious magazine and guess what I saw? White, white, and more white. White tux blazer, white Dr Martens, dainty white tennis skirts, white lace, white sandals even (yes people, it’s not a typo), shoe boots… I don’t think you quite understand just how my head exploded and collapsed in on itself. I'm loving the absence of colour in this shoot - so pure and fresh; totally fitting for Spring. Then there's the feature on Climate Change (no not, global warming and the like... rather climate change in fashion). Constance Jablonski along with models Alla Kostromicheva, Mirte Maas and Patricia van der Vliet appear in the spread, with photography by Daniel Jackson. See pics below for a taster! Meanwhile, supermodel Natalia Vodianova looks every inch the ice princess on the cover this month, wrapped up in pastel hues courtesy of Le Fashion Greats including Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, Valentino, Christopher Kane and my personal favourite, the eternal mademoiselle, Chanel. Check Miss Vodianova out in their dresses that she plans to auction for her charity, Naked Heart Foundation which aims to provide assistance for underprivileged children living in Russia. Sounds good to me!
I’m super in love with this issue man. Oh Em Gee.
